Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. The result was the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
